Welcome to Dakota Meadows Middle School

I am extremely proud to serve as the principal of Dakota Meadows Middle School. The 2022-23 school year will be my first year at Dakota Meadows Middle School. I have previously served as Principal of Bloomington Kennedy High School for the past two school years. I have also served as an Associate Principal at Eden Prairie High School, and as a Dean of Students and Associate Principal in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Public Schools. I started my education career as a cultural liaison and a special education teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School in Mankato Area Public Schools.

My goal is to partner with our students, staff, and families to ensure the best possible school experience for everyone. Our school culture will be centered on the unique perspectives and voices of our middle school scholars. We are committed to building strong relationships that value each individual for who they are and provide a structured learning environment in order for our scholars to reach their full potential. We will strive to provide our students with a high quality and nurturing education that extends beyond the classroom and contributes to their achievement, persistence, and life-long success. Dakota Meadows Middle School(DMMS) is one of two middle level schools serving Mankato's 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Each grade level is organized into two teams or small learning communities. This allows students and staff to connect and develop a personalized learning approach.
